Agency and Production Booking Checklist for Hair and Makeup

Agencies and productions move quickly, and hair and makeup should keep up without drama. This booking checklist covers what we need to plan it. This checklist helps you send a complete brief the first time. A person reviews production and VIP-adjacent requests and follows up with a quote. There's no self-serve checkout for set days, because the right plan needs a careful read.

Date, city, and getting-ready address

Share the shoot date or date range, the city, and the exact address where artists should report. Note whether that's a stage, location, trailer, hotel hold, or office. If call sheets are still forming, send the best current pin and update us when it firms up.

Call time and first-shot timing

Tell us when artists should arrive and when first shot or first talent-ready is expected. Early calls are familiar territory for us. The more precise the window, the better we can protect continuity and avoid guesswork.

If stand-by after first looks is needed for shine, weather, or resets, say so. Prep-only and stand-by are different plans.

Talent count and look notes

List how many people need hair, makeup, or both. Flag hero talent, background, or rapid touch-up lanes. Include look references, period or character notes, product-on-camera needs, and continuity across days when looks must match.

Tattoo cover, effects-minded work, or specialty hair should be called out in the brief so we can plan for it.

On-set versus trailer or hold space

Describe the workspace. A quiet trailer, a hotel suite, a green room, or a corner of the stage each changes kit layout and flow. Note power access, whether furniture is provided, and who the site contact is for check-in.

Parking instructions and gate lists help the team clear security without delaying call. Parking charges at studios, hotels, or venues are typically covered by the client.

NDAs, labor notes, and vendor requirements

If an NDA is required, send it early so paperwork doesn't land at call time. If your production has specific vendor or labor requirements, share them with the request so we can tell you honestly whether we're a fit. We're a professional mobile hair and makeup team. Travel and multi-day needs

When travel or overnight stays are part of the plan, possible travel or accommodation fees are outlined in your quote. Multi-day continuity depends on the same routine and product consistency day to day, so tell us when looks must carry.
