How to Prep Hair and Skin Before the Glam Team Arrives
A beautiful wedding morning starts the night before. Mobile Beauty Team brings the artistry, and a little client prep helps every look sit better and last longer. None of this needs to be complicated. Clean hair, calm skin, and a few thoughtful choices are enough.
Hair: clean, dry, and ready for styling
Please arrive with clean, fully dry hair unless we have planned something different with you in writing. Dirty or damp hair does not hold shape the same way, and drying a full bridal party on site can push the timeline.
Skip heavy oils, leave-in coats, and sticky products the morning of, unless your artist has asked for a specific prep. A light, familiar conditioner the night before is usually plenty.
Blowouts are a separate service. If you want a blowout as part of the morning, include it when you book so time and hands are reserved. Do not assume a blowout is built into every hair appointment.
If you are bringing clip-in pieces or extensions, have them clean, dry, and ready. Clients typically bring their own pieces; we style and blend them as part of the hair service when that is on the booking.
Skin: simple and hydrated
Gently cleanse the night before and the morning of. Moisturize lightly so skin is comfortable, not shiny. Avoid trying brand-new products in the final days before the wedding. Familiar routines are kinder than experiments.
If you wax or thread, leave a little buffer before the wedding day so skin can settle. For tattoo cover, keep the area free of heavy body oil the night before, and send a photo of the tattoo with your booking notes.
Brows, nails, and last-minute color
Schedule brow shaping a few days ahead rather than the morning of. Nails and lashes, if you want them, belong on your personal beauty calendar outside the hair and makeup chair unless we have expressly included them.
If you color your hair, finish color appointments far enough ahead that the tone has settled and any brassiness can be corrected in the salon before the wedding week.
What to have nearby
Hang the dress or suit where it will not brush wet product. Keep water, snacks, and phones within reach but off the kit table. Share inspiration photos with your confirmation so artists are not guessing while the clock is running.
Your confirmation may also include a short prep reminder or video link. Following that checklist is one of the easiest ways to protect the timeline.
