Las Vegas Convention Speaker Hair and Makeup: Booking Around Stage Time
A speaker’s stage time is not always the deadline for hair and makeup. There may be a rehearsal, a microphone check, a press interview, or a portrait session first. When you book Las Vegas convention speaker hair and makeup, start with the earliest moment your speaker needs to be camera-ready.
Build the plan around the speaker’s day
Send the event date, venue, prep-room address, and each speaker’s schedule. Include rehearsals and media commitments as well as the session itself. If a speaker is arriving from a hotel, allow time to leave the room, reach transport, and check in at the venue.
For a panel, list everyone’s services separately. One person may need hairstyling and makeup, while another wants light grooming. A headcount alone does not tell the team how much preparation is involved.
Confirm where preparation will happen
Ask your event coordinator which room is available, when the team can enter, and who will provide access. A green room that opens shortly before the session may not be suitable for all initial appointments. A hotel room or another approved space could be an option, depending on the booking.
The room should have suitable chairs, a clean work surface, good lighting, and nearby power. Include loading instructions, security requirements, and parking details in the brief. If credentials are needed, arrange them before the team arrives.
Share the look and the setting
Tell the artist whether the speaker will appear on stage, on a livestream, or in close-up video. Share outfit references and any personal preferences. The aim is a polished look the speaker feels comfortable wearing, rather than a last-minute style decision before a presentation.
Mention glasses, facial hair, hairpieces, or extensions when relevant. Have the speaker share skin sensitivities or product concerns directly with the artist if they prefer.
Book touch-ups explicitly
Preparation before the first session and coverage later in the day are different requests. If you want someone available between interviews or sessions, provide the expected hours, location changes, and number of people needing touch-ups. Ask what coverage is included in the quote.
If the agenda changes, send one revised schedule rather than several competing versions. Name a coordinator who can make decisions on the day.
